The Why

Nothing in this world
exists alone.

Everything that lives, lives because of its relationship to everything else. That is the oldest truth we keep forgetting.

From the founder

It started with a hammer.

In 2015 I caught myself about to order one online rather than knock on my neighbour's door and ask to borrow his.

That stopped me cold.

How was technology benefitting connection?

It wasn't laziness. It was a symptom. Somewhere along the way, reaching for a device had become easier than reaching for a person — and I had spent fifteen years helping build the world that made it so. Frictionless, hyper-efficient digital experiences. That was my craft.

Every major platform was built to keep us online. The attention economy didn't take our time by accident — it reverse-engineered the very thing that keeps us alive, our need for attachment, and sold it back to us. Every notification is an engineered hit. We were retrained to respond to the urgent over the important. Started collecting people instead of connecting with them because we're always on the move.

And most of us know the result, even if we've never said it out loud.

A phone full of people, and no one to call. A feed that shows us everyone's life, and leaves us a little further outside our own. We know what our friends ate, where they travelled, who they were with. Many of us don't know how to be with them anymore.

That ache is not a flaw in you. It might be the most honest thing about you.

Why I care

For all our progress, we only ever needed two things to survive: attachment and authenticity. To belong, and to stay true to who we are. Almost everything I've come to understand about pain — my own, my parents', my friends' — lives somewhere in the space between those two.

Gabor Maté helped me see that, a long time ago. He pointed me toward the root of things — toward trauma. Mine. The things my parents carried and passed to me without meaning to. I've known depression. I've known anxiety. And I also know my parents did the best they could with what they had. Love and pain can live in the same house.

I started this search early. Books by twelve — psychology, then philosophy, then Buddhism, meditation by fourteen, a quieter way of being with myself. Later, cognitive science and technology. Later still, a shaman in Mexico initiated me and told me I had always been an energy healer and psychic. That's when it all clicked and made sense. All of it the same search: to understand people, and to help them.

My connection to other people has always been turned up louder than most. I've never been able to switch it off. This is what I did with it instead.

What I believe

Friction is not the enemy.

What if the ache you feel is not a problem to be solved — but felt?

What if your fear is not your enemy, but your compass?

What if the discomfort of being truly seen is not the obstacle to connection — but the path to it?

A branch breaks and grows back stronger. The micro-fractures from a run make our bones more dense. We come from nature — so why would we be any different?

For moving money or booking a flight, frictionless is right. But we let that same demand seep into our inner lives — and when nothing is ever allowed to be hard, we slowly lose the ability to handle anything that is. We run to our screens, or to AI that plays therapist, to numb the very feelings that were meant to guide us.

We were not designed to outsource our discomfort.
We were built to sit with it — and grow.

In a world obsessed with easy, choosing discomfort is a quiet act of courage.

Because there are two kinds of friction in your life.

There's the friction that grows you: a real conversation, being seen, holding someone else's truth. And there's the friction that just drains you: event links scattered across a dozen apps, thirty messages to plan one dinner, never knowing who's actually near.

The second kind steals the energy you needed for the first.

Synchronize removes only the draining kind. You see what your friends are actually up to nearby. You share a trip, and see who you'll cross paths with while you're there — so you meet in person instead of waving at each other across a feed. The logistics get easier so the human part gets the room it deserves.

No noise. No feed. No ads. We don't sell your data — you're the one this answers to. A code of conduct, real vetting, verified reviews only. Trust built through community stewardship (thank you Burning Man), not marketing.

A bridge between technology, wellbeing,
and human connection.

A place built to ease stress, isolation and illness in sanctuaries and third spaces — and to reconnect a wellness world that has become scattered and hard to trust. Only strong signals: so you go online to connect deeply offline.

The honest part

This is genuinely new — and we don't have all the answers.

No one has built connection quite this way before — while creating a circular economy where everyone benefits, for systemic change.

There are many unknowns, but my aim is to get you offline faster instead of scrolling longer, while creating conscious revenue streams — and by that I mean streams that don't extract, but are mutually beneficial. I have high ambitions to create an ecosystem that is designed to get you offline; that informs without overwhelming, empowers without demanding focus, and stays in the background until needed — which means the people who arrive early aren't only here to use it: you're here to shape it.

Most solutions to disconnection still apply linear thinking: build better algorithms, create more features, optimise engagement. So the solutions reinforce the very patterns that created the problem —

More connectivity, but less connection.
More stimulation, but less meaning.

Connection, growth, and harmony require listening to our intuition, compassion, and nurturing:

Cycles of connection and solitude.
Creativity instead of consumption.
Cycles of feeling and desiring instead of thinking or seeking.

So consider this an invitation: join my co-founder Amrish and me, and help us shape what Synchronize becomes. You have a voice in this. That isn't a slogan — it's the entire design.

So if something inside whispers that this feels right, join the waitlist. It's proof Synchronize is needed.

The longer arc

Why this matters beyond us.

When people feel at home with their body and emotions, only then can they really support others. And when communities are strong, they can look at the bigger picture of how resources are shared and how we protect our beautiful planet.

Self, each other, planet — we're all connected through love. And when we go beyond love as an energetic movement, as to what it motivates, love organizes itself and becomes an observable force with no limitations.

Love is the most sustainable resource we have. It never depletes, only compounds.

This is what we are quietly working toward.
